Portarace

 

  
  • 14 feet long and adjustable in width from 1ft 6 ins to 4 feet, allowing
    the sheep to be worked from either outside or inside the race.
  • When in the narrow position, the sides can be sloped inwards to fit a
    narrow footpath or to make the sheep approach the shedding ring in
    single file.
  • The stop gate is separated from the shedding gate, allowing sheep to be
    stopped at speed. The open appearance encourages sheep forward to
    fill the race completely.
  • Overall length including drawbar is 19 feet. Width incl. wheels is 6ft 6ins.
  • Optional turnover crates, weighing machine, wide and narrow footpaths,
    etc. can be carried and used on the mobile handler.
   
       

Sheep Race
       
 
  • 18 feet long and can incorporate
    a foot bath.
  • Animals enter through a gate in
    the frame and through a sliding
    gate into the forcing pen.
  • One way gates stop sheep from
    going back down the race.
  • Concertina type stop gate.
       
       
Sheep Turnover Crate
       
  The Ewe-Turn Rollover Crate
can be fitted into any race
system. It can be set up for
either right or left-handed
operation.

The sheep simply walks into
the crate and is clamped. A
foot pedal is released to allow
the sheep to be tilted towards
  the operator. It is then just a matter of turning the sheep over where it is
ready for attention, with clear access to the feet, head, udder, rear end, etc.
without any clutter in the way.
 
       
   
Sheep Dressing Table
   
Walk the tup, lamb or ewe onto the table in the low position. Then with the head secured
in the face plate, you can easily bring the table up to a desired height to dress the animal
by using an over-centred lever.
 
All areas are easily accessible, with less stress to both animal and owner.
 
All available galvanised.
     
 
     
       
Weigh Platform
       
 
Light and sturdy platform from 6mm aluminium.
Easy to clean and transport.  Digital readout for
weighing livestock, feed, etc.
Can be used inside sheep crush or race.
       
         
 
  Sheep Footbaths
       
 
  Narrow Footbath:
8ft long, 17" tall sides, and the ends are 7" and 9". This keeps the solution
inside the bath and prevents waste.
  Wide Footbath:
8ft long, 37" wide, 6" deep. Complete with a one metre guillotine gate and
sheeted side hurdles. No waste or splashes, as hurdles slightly inside bath.
Free standing or in a race or pen. Sturdy and safe to operate.
  All footbaths have weldmesh on the bottom to stop animals slipping and to
open hooves.
